Description
Traditional Kumaoni Pumpkin Dumplings – Sun-Dried & Rich in Taste
Petha Badi is a unique delicacy from the hills of Uttarakhand made using grated petha (ash gourd or pumpkin) blended with spiced lentil flour (typically urad or moong dal). The mixture is hand-shaped into small dumplings, then sun-dried naturally to preserve their rich flavor and long shelf life. Once dried, these badis can be fried or added to gravies and curries to enhance taste and texture.
Prepared following traditional Kumaoni methods, our Petha Badi at Joshital carries the earthy aroma of home-ground spices and the essence of sun-kissed mountain food culture.
